If you have a website or social media presence, you already have a following of some kind...
Your followers are coming to you for your advice, expertise, digital downloads, recipes, tips, and recommendations.
Companies are paying you to promote their brands because they believe you have influence, as hundreds (if not thousands) of people are listening – and like what you have to say.
#FACT 1: You’re already selling.
The bottom line is: You're already way ahead of the game as most people and / or companies starting out don’t have an audience. They have a product they want to get in front of people and look to those with a following to help them promote it.
#FACT 2: You already have a customer base.
There are so many places to sell your products. Right off the bat: your website.
If you are currently linking products you feature in your posts and are sending your customers (AKA your followers) to Amazon via an Affiliate Link to purchase someone else’s product, you can sell your own products the same way.
1) Become a seller on Amazon.
2) Add your products to your existing Amazon Influencer Store Page.
3) Sell your product on your own store. (Just add a “buy button” from Shopify or any other ecommerce provider you like. I personally like Shopify Lite which adds a buy-button option for $9 / month.)
4) Etsy is also a great platform to consider.
5) All of the above.
You can also sell your products on any of your social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. You get the idea. All the places where your customers are following you: sell there.
#FACT 3: Your product is going to be better than what’s out there already.
I know this because you already have a new way of doing things: whether it’s showing a novice baker how to bake the best Snickerdoodles, or teaching someone how they can plan an entire party on a budget that rivals an event planner, or you can help someone find the best travel destinations and save them time in planning their dream vacation.
So... yes, your product is going to be better because it will also come with your recipe or guide, your name, and your recommendation. And it will be created in a way that solves the problem your customer has gone to you for in the first place.
#FACT 4: Don’t sell yourself short.
You have the ability and the knowledge. As my mother, Bernice would say: “you have what you need, now just add that one special ingredient to make it complete: believe that you can.”
